Your Red Blood Cells

Red blood cells are red because they contain haemoglobin, a chemical that brings the oxygen you breathe from the air around your body and gets rid of the carbon dioxide you don’t need.  Haemoglobin also contains iron which your body needs to stay strong and healthy.  There are millions of red blood cells in each tiny drop of your blood and they all work really hard to keep you healthy.

You don’t need an iron will to find out about iron!  Just click on Find Out More!
