The Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre (APC) is a research centre looking at how bacteria in the gut can help keep us healthy.
Scientists and doctors at the APC are looking for new treatments for diseases of the gut. We are looking at how the body can tell harmful bacteria from good bacteria. We are trying to see if gut diseases can be treated with the good bacteria.
The APC is a partnership between University College Cork, Ireland and Teagasc in Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork Ireland.
